Lecture, group work and scenarios incorporating the following emergencies:
- Anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- Cardiac Emergencies
- Seizures
- Hypoglycaemia
- Stroke
- Fainting
Adult Basic Life Support (ABLS) and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Course
2 Hours
Includes an AED manual and certificate (valid for 1 year). Timings can vary depending on the number of candidates and their competency.

This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to have the knowledge to help save a life.

- Lecture on amendments to make for children
Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Course
1.5 Hour
Certificate valid for 1 year.

Adult Basic Life Support
1 Hour
How to recognise and manage a cardio-respiratory arrest. Includes a lecture on amendments to make for children.
Paediatric Basic Life Support
1.5 Hours
How to recognise and manage a cardio-respiratory arrest in children. Includes practical simulation using a baby and small child manikin.
Anaphylaxis & Adrenaline Auto Injector Pen Training
1 Hour
A course covering the recognition and management of Anaphylaxis for both adults and children, including adrenaline auto injector pen practice.
Blood Glucose Monitoring Training
1 Hour
A short course providing a basic understanding of Diabetes and the importance of accurate blood glucose monitoring and quality control. Most suited to those areas who are supported by the Isle of Wight NHS Trust Point of Care Team or those using the Contour XT meter.
